This is an opportunity to join our existing dynamic team within Clayfields House, Moorbridge Lane, Stapleford, Nottingham. Ideally situated a few miles from the M1, Clayfields House Secure Unit is licensed by the Department of Health and caters for young people aged 10-17, from a range of backgrounds and circumstances in providing care, education, planned group and individual experiences to those who are deemed to require secure accommodation. We require an experienced practitioner to join our Professional Services Team.
· The primary focus will be the delivery of specific group and individualised interventions to meet the criminogenic and welfare needs of young people.
· Professional qualifications relevant to the work, and experience of working with ''difficult to engage' young people, would be advantageous.
· It would also be useful for you to have previous group work experience related to working with young people who offend, misuse alcohol/drugs, and have poor anger management skills, etc.
· The post involves working weekends/evenings and being a committed team player able to support the development of other staff at the centre.
We regret that the design of the building in which this post is located may make it unsuitable for persons with a mobility disability. However, disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks. Closing date: 12 November.
