Lincolnshire Secure Unit No beds: 10 - YJB, 2 - welfare, Mixed beds Lincolnshire Secure Unit is a purpose built Secure Children's Home which is managed by Lincolnshire County Council. It was opened in March 1997. It is licensed to operate through OFSTED and in recent years has worked very closely with DCSF to ensure the building is maintained and developed to the highest standards. The unit is a mixed gender Secure Children's Home with 12 places in total, looking after young people from the age of 10 to the day before their 18th Birthday. We currently contract 10 beds with the Youth Justice Board and manage young people who have been sent to the unit by the Courts either on Remand or a Sentence basis. We also have 2 beds for young people who require specialist intervention on a Welfare basis. |
