| We
can provide separate single sex accommodation for six young women
and six young men, with a mixed four-bed unit also available. Such
flexibility allows us to work with a variety of different groups,
which meets the needs of young people.
Feedback on
placements received from young people, referring authorities and
parents or carers is generally very positive.
We offer an
excellent educational programme within a well-resourced school.
Class sizes are small and support is high. School attendance is
excellent and young people make significant educational gains.
Our work with
young people is supported by high staff to child ratio and is provided
by a culturally diverse staff group.
We benefit from
the services of a consultant psychiatrist, consultant psychologist,
art therapist and music therapist. We also have excellent primary
health care services provided by an on site nurse, supported by
a direct link with a specialist GP practice. We also have established
links with local drug advisory services and connexions.
For all referrals
where we are given sufficient information we will provide a speedy
response. We have worked very successfully with a wide range of
young people including those who self harm, have been abused and
suffered emotional depravation.
Leverton aspires
to provide a child focussed service that facilitates both emotional
growth and skill acquisition. We seek to work in partnership from
the point of admission, throughout the placement and achieve a well
ordered transition to the next care setting for a young person -
whatever and wherever that may be.
Please feel
free to contact Leverton if you require further information.
Sincerely,
Geoff Darwin
