Linconshire Unit

Lincolnshire Secure Unit's aim is to provide high quality care and education within a safe environment. Enabling young people to address their personal difficulties and work towards becoming productive members of society. We take a holistic approach in managing all young people, providing comprehensive educational, psychological and enrichment activities. These are supported through individually targeted group work and 1 to 1 sessions. Our Case Management Team work closely with families and professionals involved with the young person, to ensure positive relationships are maintained with the young person.

Enjoy and achieve

As a home we are committed to providing a restorative environment in which everyone who lives, works and visits us can feel that their views, opinions and emotions are valued and we aim to ensure that any differences or conflict will be resolved in a way that everyone feels is fair.

In order to achieve lasting change Lincolnshire Secure Unit works not only to manage existing difficult behaviours such as self harm, drug misuse, or violence, but to achieve long term positive change in terms of:

> The cognitive and emotional resources available to each child

> A child's sense of self worth, dignity for self, and empathy with others

> Educational and career aspirations by achieving nationally recognised GCSE qualifications or other equivalents

> Improved behavioural blueprints that reduce the future potential to harm self or others

> Reasoning and problem solving skills that can be applied to future difficulties, and allow the child to grasp responsibility for their own lives
